SOUTHEND BOROUGH SWIMMING GALA

What an amazing year!

Bringing home over 60 medals +The Girls Potters Shield + Runners Up Cup (for the Potters Shield Boys), our record breaking Gala team out performed all expectations.

The competition was split into two simultaneous events: 

Lower School fought hard all afternoon finishing 2nd in the Borough. Some incredible new borough records set by Nonso, definitely one to watch! We were sad to miss out on our Year 3 Freestyle star Roxy, who sadly broke her arm the day before the Gala!

Upper School, led the afternoon by about 10 points, until a couple of disqualifications in the last few races meant our closest rivals stole the lead and we finished 2nd. In the upper school races it was Nonso's sisters turn to shine, smashing a few of the borough records.

Both teams will now go to represent Southend in the Essex finals. Good luck team, lets do Southend proud!
